RCPowers F-117 Retired

I decided to retire the F-117 (hanger)  today and removed power system and 2 metal gear servos.
The RCPowers F-117 was my 3rd plane that I flew. It was a steep learning curve, I modified the build by adding the KFM1 Airfoil and opting out of the score and fold design for a more realistic looking [...]

Flight and Power

I did the maiden flight of the SE-5 (hanger) today and it went pretty good. Once it was all trimmed out I flew all around doing touch and goes and on the 2s 360mAh 20c gave 10 minute flights and no crashes caused any real damage.
I may add some plywood to the leading edge wing [...]

Handydown SE-5 Combat Ready

Well I finally decided to try to get the SE-5 flight ready. The hard part was to get the motor mounted. It is in no way a pretty mount, but it will likely hold together longer then the rest of the plane! I used the HXT500 servos and the 24g motor swinging a 8040 prop. [...]

EPP, Gear Drives and 12″ Props OH MY!

I took the EPP SUKHOI Su-31 M24 (hanger) out to fly for the first time today. It is powered by an gear driven motor swinging a 12×5.8 prop. It flies pretty good. Used all the batteries but the 2s batteries except the 1600mAh that I had and it flew flawlessly every time. The prop hums [...]

Weather to Fly

Well, after several days of high winds I decided to brave the elements. I came to the field and the flags of the nearby realestate housing areas where blowing, But not too hard. No one was flying. I was about to drive on and get some food but decided to give it a shot. Every [...]

Morning Humor

Well I got my stuff from HobbyCity, my 7th order, and the motors I got, not sure they will work for the morback. That is a different issue though. I almost have the SU-31 flying, pictures as soon as i get everything installed.
I got the job I applied for as working testing wireless signals or [...]

New Work Bench Page

I added a new Work Bench page (here). On the work bench I will have all the projects that i am working on and the stages that they are in. Similar to the (hanger) page, however these are often designs that I have done. Or concepts for mechanics and other things related to flying.
I added [...]

MiG-29 Controls and Repairs

Well in light of the wind day repairs I felt that it was time to do the new controls also. The hardest part about that was getting the TX programmed. other then that it went pretty good. 2 holes where the servos used to be, no gyro and a bit less tail heavy.
The plane flew [...]

Mini Morback Phlatness

It has not been the weather to fly lately so not much updates or videos. Maybe try to get some flying in today. I have motors and esc on order for my Mini Morback since the one i originally ordered wont work so well. Expect it early next week.
Mark Carew (kram242 of Phlatforum) was kind [...]

2 New Videos (MiG and Ornithopter)

Update: Interview not done yet, just filling out all the paper work and pre-tests at staffing agency.
Now onto the fun stuff, I have added another video of me flying my Tomhe MiG-29 w/KFM2 (youtube), thanks to Ernesto for filming for me. The flight went really well and is very stable at almost all times. Once [...]
