Name: Wing Warrior Status: WiP
Obtained: February 09 First Flight: n/a
Construction: EPP Final Flight n/a
A rebuild of Cliff’s old Sloping Wing Warrior. The electronics had burned out and so Cliff gave it to me since I am starting into gliders and soaring. I took all the coverings off and repaired the nose section. It is almost ready to re-cover and install electronics.

Name: Chaser 1 Status: Destroyed
Obtained: Jan-09 First Flight: 03-19-09
Construction: 6mm Depron Final Flight n/a
Designed to carry the FlyCamOne2 and chase around planes at the field. This hopes to get the video footage that a sail plane wildhawk can’t To get down into the action and chase around other planes. Maiden flight went great and look forward to future builds.

Name: RCPowers F-117 Status: Retired
Obtained: December 2008 First Flight: 12-31-08
Construction: 6mm Depron Final Flight January 09
450 Class Parkjet. Constructed out of 6mm depron when I was building this plane I opted to not use the score and fold method, looking back I should have, but with the plans I could always build more. The motor mount did not match the one provided in the kit so I fashioned my own out of wood. I am pleased with the finished plane and hope it flies as good as it looks. KFM1 Airfoil used.

Name: Tony65×55 Fokker D.7 Status: Destroyed
Obtained: December 2008 First Flight: 12-14-08
Construction: 6mm and 3mm Depron Final Flight 12-28-08
I built this plane from pdf plans designed by Tony65×55 on RCGroups. I am very pleased with this plane and if I was any better of a pilot it would still be flying. The uniqueness of this plane was it had an KFM2 airfoil on both the upper and lower wing. I tested out an ESKY Gyro on the ailerons and had pretty good results. Once trimmed the plane flew and handeled perfectly. The controls where very sensitive and operated best around 33% on duel rate. I left full rates on in the last flight on accident and the impact after several seconds flight was enought to destroy it.

Name: WildHawk (Harbor Freight) Status: Inactive
Obtained: December 2008 First Flight: 12-23-08
Construction: 6mm Depron Final Flight n/a
I really do enjoy flying this plane. It is the one plane that when all else fails I just throw in the air and relax. Before the first flight I removed the transmitter and put in an AR6100. The stock stuff just went nuts on me. I programmed for duel rate and found that I needed full rates for flying. After the first 3 flights I realized that the WildHawk needed a lot more control surface area. I added a bit of 3mm depron and sanded down the wings. Before the next flight I added an ESKY-Gyro for Elevator control. The results where very pleasing. I plan to add ailerons in the future then paint the wings and tail.

Name: Slow Stick Status: Inactive
Build/Obtained:: December 31st 2008 First Flight: January 09
Construction: EPP Foam Final Flight n/a
A handful of us at the field purchased these for aerial combat. Gonna be a fun new years.Update: Combat has been a lot of fun, I decided to put this plane on inactive since I took the RX out and put it in the Funtana. It is a wonderful plane.

Name: Ascent Status: Active
Obtained:: January 1st 09 First Flight: January 09
Construction: Varies Final Flight n/a
A very welcome gift, I have a motor and esc ordered and should be here in a few days. I really can’t wait to fly this one. zoom

Name: Mig-29 by Tomhe w/KFM2 Status: Retired
Obtained: January 6th 09 First Flight: January 13th 09
Construction: 6mm Depron Final Flight n/a
Here is one of Tomhe’s amazing designs as you may have seen a post about on this site (here). It uses a KFM2 Airfoil, a design I have not personally tested yet. I am still deciding what color to paint it. I am planning on a simple 2 servo design for the ailerons and elevons, as well as a servo for rudder control. gonna try to get away with just using one.

Name: Morback F3P (mini) Status: Inactive
Obtained: Mid January 09 First Flight: n/a
Construction: 3mm Depron Final Flight n/a
I could not locate the non tiled version to downscale the design, instead I had to recreate it in autocad and get it printed out. Just waiting on power setup and it’s about ready to fly.

Name: Funtana 300 Status: Active
Obtained: January 13th 09 First Flight: January 13th 09
Construction: Foam and Plywood Final Flight n/a
I purchased this plane and a Bi-Plane for $40, such a deal. The plane is ready to fly and already flew just a little bit. Looks so nice too. It came with the wing fins that help with knife edge and I went ahead and put them on. All looks good and I love it! :)

Name: SE-5 Status: Inactive
Obtained: January 14th 09 First Flight: January 31st 09
Construction: Foam Final Flight n/a
Recovered from the airfield, minus electronics, will get flying eventually. Note that the jet pilot has his eyes closed, I think that explains the repairs to the nose I did last night…

Name: EPP SUKHOI Su-31 M24 Status: Inactive
Obtained: January 09 First Flight: January 30th 09
Construction: EPP Final Flight n/a
This EPP Su-31 is really a fun plane to fly. The maiden flight went pretty good and look forward to more flights. It is my first brushed motor + gear drive setup. So far so good on 2s lipos.
