FMS is a free RC Flight Simulator that comes with many low cost controllers. It can be downloaded from the site if you do not already have it. It is not as fancy as those other sims, But it is not a game to play for fun. This is practice so you can go outside and have fun.
I Recommend you Keep the landscapes separated in their folder under the Landscape Folder (…/fms/landscapes/landscapename/imagefiles…) And I keep my planes in separate folder categories, like Parkjets, Indoor, Jets, Heli and so on. Just makes it easier to find and manage what you got. Any time i get a new plane i test it out in the test folder before I move it to the organized folders.
These are updates to models that where done by other people. Modifications include mainly flight model and texture changes. Also some of the landscapes I really like. More planes to come.

Known issues and solutions:
(Source) FMS 2.0 Alpha 8.5 on computer without serial port crashes with following error:
Application Error
Exception EComPort in module FMS.exe at 0008AFEC. Registry error (win error code: 2).
Solution:
Create registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\SERIALCOMM
The entries in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE are recreated each time the system is started. So you have to create the key. I wrote small application StartFMS.exe witch creates the key and starts fms.exe. You can download StartFMS.zip, unzip it and copy to FMS folder (StartFMS.exe must be in the same directory as FMS.exe). Then change FMS.exe in the FMS shortcut to StartFMS.exe.
Note: Application requires Visual Basic 5 runtime msvbvm50.dll.
