How To

Pitfalls and Problems. Aside from the Beginners page, which is very informative here is a How To page that will give instructions on fixes, methods and solutions I have found or resolved through my own ingenuity.

DX6i Issues

As wonderful as it is, it has issues. But who wants to mail in their controller and hope the problem is solved weeks later.

Broken Scrolling Bar for Menu (solution) (source)
The scrolling bar is a rather weak piece of plastic. The upper part is placed over a button, while the lower part is places into a scrolling mechanism. The plastic breaks at the lower part if pressed to hard. You can prevent this by being gentle and not pressing hard on the bottom when trying to use the button.
(Hint: pressing harder on a button does not make it work any better.)

Broken Button for Menu (solution)
I think the cause of my scrolling bar breaking, in fact I am sure of it, was the button function of the menu breaking. It would work, and then not work. I in trouble shooting placed a screwdriver between the connections and that worked. So the solution was easy. solder a new button on there.
