Alula (Scratch Build)
I have built the KF Crossbow for sloping with plans for the Weasel Fest (info) this April. Well the KF Crossbow is not one of the Dream-Flight planes but the Alula is. Since they are currently not available I drew the plans out in AutoCad and for 54 cents at staples printed them out.
The plans where not very detailed and I only had some ideas for the wing structure and how to build the fuselage. Bruce over at BFoamy.com gave me the idea of having the ribs both in front and behind the spar. It looks wonderful and is almost finished!
CF rod along the leading edge, and a short CF rod to keep the wing from folding in half. I think I will keep the wings unpainted from the spar back but will paint the leading edge. Not sure. Will see…
